Life is full of surprises…and babies are the best kind! Ten years after our son was born, our daughter made her appearance and changed our family dynamics forever. Diapers and Little League, preschool and middle school... with two kids at completely different stages in life, it was time to regroup.

Being a new mom again after all that time was amazing - I was surrounded by everything "baby" and loving it! I enjoyed the time with my daughter and it was great being home full-time, but my maternity leave ended and we needed a second income so I knew I had to return to work. After almost 20 years as a banker, however, I was ready to try something else and longed for a job with more flexibility. I missed the fast pace of the business world, but I was determined to be in control of my own schedule and  I had always wanted to try something more creative. After receiving rave reviews over a shower gift I made for a friend, I was inspired to design my own line of stylish, soft baby gifts, and Dillyhearts was born. My daughter's naptimes and bedtime became the flexible work schedule I craved for our family, as I designed patterns, cut fabric, and taught myself how to sew.
